Well today marks by 37th Birthday. Can’t believe I am actually 37 years of age. Growing up 35 sounded so old (remember how old you thought Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte, and Miranda when they turned 35) and here I find myself 37, seven months pregnant and still in awe of that number. I’ve never been one to get caught up in a number so I shall embrace this 37th year and all the incredible gifts it will bring. I also never imagined I would become a mom for the first time this late in life but honestly I can’t imagine it happening at a more perfect time. At this stage of my life I feel like I’m in a place to be the best mom I can be because I’m in a place where I’m the best to myself. I had so many life lessons I needed to learn before I would have been able to become the mother I know I can be today.

It’s 4:30 am and the hubs and I are about to head to the airport in route to Tulum to celebrate the day and one final trip before baby girl arrives. Tulum is a place I’ve been wanting to visit for years but for some reason or another we always ended up somewhere else. I’ve heard such incredible things about this little piece of paradise and can’t wait to experience it for myself. If anyone has any recommendations we would love to know about them! Since nothing fits me anymore I’m really hoping for some good shopping because I’m taking a risk and not packing enough clothes to get me through the weekend (or makeup because who needs makeup in Mexico). Whoops, sorry hubs we’re gonna need to find a dress to fit this belly šŸ˜‰ The fact that my morning sickness has started back again isn’t doing me any favors. Yesterday I ate an entire pizza and multiple pieces of red velvet cake to celebrate the big day. I was apparently celebrating early. That’s not true. I wasn’t celebrating. I ate it because I feel so sick and crap food is the only thing that makes me feel better.

Cheers to the weekend and eating the entire pizza with a few sides of red velvet cake šŸ˜‰

Dress: Endless Rose | Heel: Dee Keller (old) similar here | Bag: Givenchy (old) similar here | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Pale Pink Lip gloss: Chanel ‘Mica‘

After ordering about ten dresses and not loving any of them on me, I stumbled upon this adorable white lace long sleeved dress from ‘Endless Rose’ for my baby shower a few weeks ago. I immediately fell in love and ordered in both a medium and a large and kept my fingers crossed one of them would fit this growing belly. To my surprise the dress ran larger than expected around the waist and even the medium looked like a tent. I knew I would run the risk of ordering a small and it not fitting in the arms but went ahead and ordered anyway just to see if the fit was any better. When I received the notification the dress would be arriving on Monday I knew something else had to be done since the shower was on Saturday! I decided all she really needed was to be taken in around the belly to give me a little shape so I took to my new favorite tailor Friday night (thank you Whitney for the recommendation) and they had it turned around on Saturday morning just in time. Nothing like trying your dress on at 1:30 when your shower starts at 2pm. Well, lucky for me the tailor was a dream and the dress fit perfectly. A big thank you to all the incredible woman who came to celebrate baby girls upcoming arrival and the most amazing girlfriends who gave of themselves to give me this shower! I love you all:)

Looking forward to styling this dress in the winter months with black booties and a black moto jacket to edge her up a bit;) Nothing I love more than pairing feminine with touches of masculine.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

Laura
